Federal Republic 1948–2001	Democratic Republic 1948–1990

The two catalogues follow parallel paths: the West German Deutsche Mark and the East German mark. Both include their 1948 predecessors, before the two states were founded in 1949. The federal branch continues in reunified Germany until 2001.
