The catalog illustrates 106 ordinary types of the phoenix and the modern drachma, with the two faces and the main differences. The years indicate the type range, not a mintage in each year. A lepton is the singular of lepta; one hundred lepta form the monetary unit of the respective system. The 1954 reform distinguishes the new drachma from the previous one. The 50 lepta of 1921, never issued, are not included; commemorative coins remain outside the current expansion.
The new photographs follow a common scale; the images already present are preserved. For 1912 series issues and monetary reforms: Bank of Greece, museum catalogue. The dates on the coins and the dates when the monetary system was introduced are separate information.
